Adéla Foldynová (Pilsen 2015 European Capital of Culture, Plzeň, Czech Republic)

In her capacity as International Projects Manager in the Pilsen 2015 organisation, Adéla arranges cooperation with selected international partners. She is in charge of communication with embassies and international cultural institutes, and of connecting them with programme activities of the project. She is also dealing with Pilsen 2015 artists-in-residence project OPEN A.i.R.

Adéla received her M.A. in the Arts & Heritage programme: Cultural Policy, Management and Education in Maastricht, Netherlands and earlier worked as manager of the artists-in-residence project in the Košice European Capital of Culture 2013 organisation; she worked in Non fiction – Office for Cultural Innovation in Amsterdam; has abundant experience from the lecturer departments of Prague museums and galleries (DOX, National Gallery, Museum Kampa).

Ana Hušman (artist, Croatia)

Ana Hušman studied multimedia and art education department graduating in 2002 from the Academy of Fine Arts Zagreb where she now works at the Department for animated film and new media. She exhibits regularly at solo and group exhibitions, and her films have been screened at many international film festivals and received a number of awards.

Angela Butterstein, (Akademie Schloss Solitude, Stuttgart, Germany)

Angela Butterstein (*1966 in Reutlingen/Germany) studied English Language and Literature, Romance Studies and Empirical Cultural Studies in Tübingen and Berlin. Since then, she has been working in several positions in the cultural field, as well as freelance project manager for cultural institutions in Tübingen, Stuttgart and Berlin among others for the EXPO 2000 GmbH Hanover, Photography Now, Institute of Cultural Exchange and Deutsche Film- und Fernsehakademie Berlin GmbH (dffb). Since 2004, she has been the project manager for Press and Public Relations at Akademie Schloss Solitude, Stuttgart. From 2009–2011 she was Solitude’s coordinator for the two-year project »RE-tooling RESIDENCIES: A Closer Look at the Mobility of Art Professionals«, a common project of five A-I-R programs, funded by the European Commission.

Annemarie Türk (independent curator and consultant)

Graduated at History and Political Science Studies at the Universities of Salzburg and ViennaStudies of Cultural Management at the Academy of Music and Performing Arts in ViennaGender Studies (Feministisches Grundstudium). Employment in various Theatres and Festivals in Austria as production manager: 1992 – 2013 KulturKontakt Austria – head of department for culture and for sponsoring:development of private art and culture sponsorship in Austria, development of artists-in-residence-programmes for visual artists, writers and literary translators, dancers and choreographers, concept and realisation of “Henkel Art.Award” and “Bank Austria Literaris. The Great Award for Eastern European Literature” etc. Since 2004 she is a lecturer at the university for music and performing arts/cultural management department. Since 2013 working as artconsulter and curator.

Bojana Panevska (DutchCulture|TransArtists, Amsterdam, Netherlands)

Bojana Panevska is an artist, researcher and writer based in Amsterdam, Netherlands. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Audio and Visual Art from the Gerrit Rietveld Academie and a master’s degree in fine art from Sandberg Instituut. In addition to her artistic practice, she currently manages international collaborations and facilitates workshops for DutchCulture | TransArtists, leading artists web resource for artist in residence opportunities worldwide.

Candace Goodrich (Kunst Kraft Werk; One Sided Story, Leipzig, Germany)

Candace received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the School of Visual Arts in New York City in 2001, and her Master of Fine Arts from the New York Academy of Art in 2007, both in painting. After 15 years living and maintaining an atelier in Brooklyn, working as a senior painting assistant for Takashi Murakami and as an Advertising Director for Modern Painters magazine, she decided to move to Berlin in 2010 to focus exclusively on her own painting and printmaking. Candace’s coordinating and curatorial impulse found an ideal avenue for expression in Leipzig, with the creation of One-sided Story in December 2011. One-sided Story offers yearly projects, each unique in their mission, with the flexibility of adding new partners, sponsors, and educational institutions, with an ever-growing network of artists internationally. Candace met Markus Loeffler, Luisa Mantovani, and Uli Malinger at the Spinnerei in their Colonia space and subsequently joined the Kunst Kraft Werk team in January 2014 as Art Director of Exhibitions.

Clara Gensburger (Les Laboratoires d’Aubervilliers, Paris, France)

Clara Gensburger is in charge of the coordination of the projects at Les Laboratoires d’Aubervilliers since september 2013. As an artist and professional in the art world she is mostly concerned by the medium of performance, its different ways of production and diffusion. She gave severals lectures about it, at, among others, the Sandberg Institute (“Perfomance as a Combat Sport: about Wrestling…,” 2012), Ensba Lyon (“Could art be didatic? Must it?”, 2011) or Schloss Solitude (participation at symposium “Teaching art, Learning art”, 2010). Her Master essay was titled “The infrastructure medium: an history and analysis of artistic structures made by artists themselves”. She worked for several places and events like Dokumenta 13, the Lyon Biennial and the Contemporary Art Institute of Villeurbanne.

Claude Veron (Jeunes Talents Cirque Europe, Paris, France)

Director of the European Pépinières 1991/1999, president of Young circus talents in europe JTCE, and teacher and production manager for dance companies in Belgium.

Davor Mišković, (Drugo more, Rijeka, Croatia)

Davor Mišković is president of the association Drugo more (Other Sea), was a part-time lecturer at the Faculty of Philosophy in Rijeka and president of the Clubture Network. He worked at the Faculty of Science and Croatian Ministry of Culture. He curated and organized numerous cultural events, conferences and educational programs, collaborated on several research projects and has taken part in many cultural management and consulting bodies.

Emina Višnić (Pogon, Zagreb, Croatia)

Emina Višnić works as cultural manager and acts as mediator and advocate for culture. She is experienced in non-profit cultural management, networking on local, national and international level, and cultural advocacy and capacity building in non-profit sector. She is general director at POGON (Zagreb), which is a hybrid cultural institution based on public-civil partnership and an open local center for development of independent contemporary arts and culture as well as for the active involvement of young people in cultural and social life. She serves as vice-chair of the Executive Committee of the European advocacy network Culture Action Europe (Brussels) and as a chair of Management Board of recently established national public foundation for development of cultural civil society Kultura Nova (Zagreb). Occasionally, she works as a trainer and talks/writes about cultural policy issues.

Goran Sergej Pristaš (BADco, Zagreb, Croatia)

Since 1994  professor at the Academy of Drama Art, University of Zagreb. From 1990 to 1992, he was artistic director of the SKUC theatre. In 1993 a dramaturge and member of the artistic council of &TD theatre. 1994 – 1999 a dramaturge in theatre group Montazstroj. He has written a few short scripts for documentary films. As a dramaturge, he participated in numerous dance and theatre productions. Program coordinator in Centre for Drama Art (CDU) since 1995. President of the board of CDU from 2000-2007. Founder and editor-in-chief (1996-2007) of Frakcija, a magazine for the performing arts (one of the most highly respected performing magazines in Europe). One of the initiators of the project Zagreb – Cultural Kapital of Europe 3000. Director, producer, dramaturge and performer in internationally presented artistic collective BADco.

Ika Sienkiewicz Nowacka (a-i-r laboratory/CCA Ujazdowski Castle, Poland)

Ika Sienkiewicz-Nowacka, culture manager, curator. Since 1998, she has been working at CCA Ujazdowski Castle, in 2003 founded the A-I-R Laboratory as the first ongoing residency program in Poland. Between 2003 and 2014, she curated and co-produced many projects, exhibitions, presentations and publications among them: Rooted Design for Routed Living and RE-tooling RESIDENCIE. Since 2010 board member of the Res Artis foundation in Amsterdam.

Iva Rada Janković (Museum of Contemporary Art, Zagreb, Croatia)

Radmila Iva Janković, senior curator in Museum of Contemporary Art, Zagreb. From 2000 to 2007 she was the curator of PM Gallery (Gallery of Extended Media), where she organized and curated numerous exhibitions of Croatian and international artists. She also curated several thematic shows in collaboration with other art institutions in Croatia and abroad (First Person Singular, 1:1 Interpersonal in contemporary art, Looking at the Others, State of Thing, Welcome…). From 2001 to 2004 she organized Zadar Live, a manifestation dedicated to art interventions in public space (Closed Circuit City, Inter muros, Artistexture, Refresh!). In 2001 she selected Croatian artists for the First Tirana Biennale. In 1998 she attended the workshop for theory and art criticism in Poznan (Poland). In 2006 she was the resident of ISCP, New York. She regularly writes and publishes visual arts criticism, reviews and essays in magazines specializing in culture and art. From 1998 till 2001 she contributed to Transfer, a broadcast for contemporary art on Croatian National Television (HRT). Since 1995 till today she has contributed to HRT3, the 3rd Program of Croatian Radio (broadcast Triptych and Essays and Discussions). For her writings she won the annual award of Croatian section of AICA in 2011. In Museum of Contemporary Art she is the head of Atelier Kožarić, curates exhibitions (Ivan Kožarić, Across the Line; Miljenko Horvat, Exploration; Francesco Jodice, Babel…), and coordinates residency programs.

Ivana Hanaček (BLOK, Zagreb, Croatia)

Ivana Hanaček is a member of curatorial collective BLOK. She is a curator of UrbanFestival, international festival of contemporary art in public space. In her curatorial work she examines the potentials of acting in-between art, activism and urbanism. She is active in education and gives lectures in art history at the Islamic Secondary School Dr. Ahmed Smajlović in Zagreb, and is a guest lecturer at numerous self-organized educational programmes. She publishes texts and reviews in Croatian Radio 3 at programme Triptih, Kluturpunkt, Zarez, as well as in the Le monde diplomatique, Croatian issue. As a free-lance curator, she curated many exhibitions in Croatia and abroad. She received several awards for her work.

Ivana Podnar (Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Croatia)

Janja Sesar (Kurziv / Kulturpunk.hr, Zagreb, Croatia)

Janja Sesar (1979) works for media portal Kulturpunkt.hr as a co-leader of the project since 2011, and since February 2012 as a project leader. She graduated at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb at the Croatian language and literature department, and German language and literature department. After graduating, she takes part in establishing media portal Kulturpunkt.hr, where she works as one of the editors till 2008. Same year she went on a two-year master’s degree program Arts and Media Administration at the Freie Universität in Berlin, where she graduates in 2010. During her study in Zagreb, she took part in organizing various cultural events dealing with film as well as film festivals.

Jasna Jakšić (Curator, Museum of Contemporary Art, Zagreb, Croatia)

Jasna Jakšić is a curator and art critic. Since 2012 she is head of library, and since 2014 head of Documentation and Information department in Museum of Contemporary Art, Zagreb. She is a member of a residency programme board in Museum of Contemporary Art, Zagreb.

Lillian Fellman (ResArtis Network, Netherlands)

Lillian Fellmann is the Program Director/Advocacy for Res Artis, the global network of artist residencies in Amsterdam. She holds an MA in Political theory, University of Zurich, and an MA in Curating and Critical theory, University of California, Los Angeles. A Fulbright Fellow and a trained journalist she co-founded the Kunsthalle Luzern in 2008 and set up the Center for Art and Politics in Amsterdam in 2011. She undertook several years of research on cultural activism in many Arab countries and Southeast Europe. She represent Res Artis at the Arts, Social Justice, Human Rights group and is on the Executive Committee of Culture Action Europe.

Luca Bergamo (Culture Action Europe, Bruxelles, Belgium)

Since the 1st of March 2012, Luca Bergamo is the secretary general of Culture Action Europe. Previously, he was Director General of the Italian National Agency for Youth from its inception in 2007. Between 2004 and 2007 he was Director General of the “Glocal Forum”, an international foundation promoting peace dialogue, cultural cooperation and active citizenship in post-conflict areas, in cooperation with UN Agencies and local authorities worldwide. From 1999 to 2004, Luca was the Executive Director of Zone Attive, a public-private company fostering cultural innovation in Italy. Under his leadership Zone Attive conceived and produced many of the most innovative and impacting initiative that shaped the cultural Italian ladscape in the period. From 1993 to 1999 he was with team of the Mayor of Rome and, in particular, led the youth policy department and contributued to reengineering the Muncipality of Roma. Previously Luca worked in the ICT and artificial intelligence for aproximately ten years. His studies focused on political science and on the role that knowledge play in human and social development.

Max Aufischer (Kulturvermittlung Steiermark, Austria)

Max Aufischer, born 1953 in Graz, studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna and worked as an arts teacher in Graz. He is head of the association Kulturvermittlung Steiermark, Cultural City Network Graz and International Writer´s House Graz. He did solo/group-exhibitions and projects in public space all over Europe, published a variety of books and received several photography awards. 2005 he was awarded with the City of Graz-Human Rights Award.

Roberto Santaguida (artist, Canada)

Since receiving his Bachelor of Fine Arts in film production from Montreal’s Concordia University, Roberto Santaguida has worked in experimental and documentary filmmaking. His first short film Miraslava has screened in over 120 international film festivals and won 4 prizes. Since 2005, he has served as the artist-in-residence for cultural organizations in United States, Romania, Norway, and Australia. In 2011, Roberto was selected for a fellowship at the Akademie Schloss Solitude in Germany. He is a recipient of the K.M. Hunter Artist Award. He currently making a short documentary about the famous solar eclipse of 1913.

Slaven Tolj (Museum of Modern and Contemporary Arts, Rijeka, Croatia)

Slaven Tolj is a multimedia artist from Dubrovnik, Croatia. He achieved international recognition for his installations, body art, and performances presenting distinct political and social-cultural criticism. Tolj is active in a cultural field through many functions – as curator, artist and workshop leader. In 2005 he was the commissioner of the Croatian pavilion at the Venice Biennale. He is one of the founders of Art Workshop Lazareti in Dubrovnik – a key institution for contemporary art scene in Dubrovnik and Croatia where he organized exhibitions, performances, screenings and artists presentations. Since 2012 he is a director of the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Rijeka.

Sonja Soldo (Pogon, Zagreb, Croatia)

Sonja Soldo is a cultural manager based in Zagreb, Croatia. As a member of BLOK she co-curated five editions of UrbanFestival, an international festival of art in public space , coordinated different collaborative projects and campaigns of local independent cultural scene that dealt with citizens’ participation in urban development, transformation of the cultural system and it’s spatial implications. She is currently working as program coordinator in Pogon – Zagreb Center for independent culture and youth, where she’s in charge of Pogon’s residency program and production of special projects.

Tamara Perišić (Assistant Minister of Culture, Zagreb, Croatia)

Tamara Perišić graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy in Zagreb in English and Literature and Italian and Literature. She is currently pursuing doctoral studies in Knowledge Economy and Transfer of Information at the University of Zadar and preparing her doctoral thesis on the publishing industry.

From 2000 she worked in the publishing house Algoritam d.o.o., first as assistant director, then deputy director and during the last two years as director of the publishing department. At the same time she regularly selected and edited fiction and non-fiction editions, in total more than one hundred titles.

Teodor Celakoski (SU Klubtura / Clubture, Zagreb, Croatia)

Teodor Celakoski is a cultural worker and activist from Zagreb. His work ranges from coordinating cultural programs, networking and cultural advocacy, to institutional innovation and political activism, and is guided by a vision of culture as a form of transformative agency.

Vesna Vuković ([BLOK], Zagreb, Croatia)

Vesna Vuković is a curator and researcher, member of Zagreb-based collective [BLOK],and free lance translator and author. From 2007-2011 associate and periodic lecturer at the Academy of Fine Arts Zagreb and from 2012 at the Art Academy in Split . She regulary collaborate at Croatian Radio 3, where she from 2013 co-edits the programme “Stvarnost prostora”.

Vukovic’s work is dedicated to the art in public space and its relation to the politics. Her curatorial practice explores inbetween-spaces of generation, production and representation of contemporary art, as a form of expanded exhibition, as well as spatial organization of the public sphere.

Yvette Vaughan Jones (Visiting Arts, London, United Kingdom)

Yvette Vaughan Jones took up post as Executive Director of Visiting Arts in October 2005. She was previously Director of the Cultural programme for Cardiff 2005. She has a long career in the arts working for the Arts Council of Wales where she set up Wales Arts International. Yvette spent 3 years working in Brussels as the Policy Manager for the Wales Centre and played a key role in Cultural Policy debates within the EU before returning to Cardiff to write the city’s bid for City of Culture 2008, and was Director of the 2005 celebrations which focused on community development through the arts. She is an active member of the Cultural Cities Network that links those cities that received Urban Cultural Programme funding to work with arts and regeneration. She is also the UK representative on the EU working group on Cultural Mobility.

Zvonimir Dobrović (Domino, Zagreb, Croatia)

Zvonimir Dobrović graduated journalism at the Faculty of Political Science, University of Zagreb. He is a founder and programme director of Queer Zagreb (since 2003) and Perforacije (since 2009) festivals. Attended numerous educational programmes in the field of cultural management.
